Humble Beginnings

If you’re reading this, it means our website is up and running! The last three weeks have been a bit of a blur for us and while we still have a long way to go, we are truly in awe and grateful to everyone who has devoted countless hours transforming Nanny Relief Fund from one nanny’s big-hearted ‘Monday paycheck’ into a registered non-profit with a mission, a board, a bank account (albeit it small,) and the formation of a new, larger community within the nannying world.

We are now entering a critical few weeks in the life of our humble non-profit. In order to open this fund up and begin granting aid to nannies across the United States, we are missing one key ingredient: money.

At this moment in time, our greatest fear is opening up the fund too early and immediately running out of available resources to support nannies with. Hundreds of thousands of nannies are currently not working, or are forced to work in unsafe environments due to a lack of eligibility for unemployment benefits or for fear of losing their long-term job after the pandemic.

Here are a few ways you can help immediately:
- Donate. We are currently accepting one-time donations and are in the process of getting set up to accept recurring donations for individuals willing to contribute a portion of their monthly income to nannies in times of need.
- Commit to invest in the future and safety of the nanny community by donating a portion of your businesses’ net profits to Nanny Relief Fund.
- Help us spread the word so that we can reach as many nannies as possible, either by sharing our website, Facebook, or Instagram.
