Introducing the Double the Care Campaign

Building Sustainable Support for Nannies Through Employer & Agency Matching

Read time | 3 minutes

Every day, nannies show up with compassion, professionalism, and care for the families they serve. But when crisis strikes (a hurricane, wildfire, illness, or unexpected job loss) many caregivers suddenly face hardship with nowhere to turn. Nanny Relief Fund (NRF) was created to change that. Founded in 2020, we’ve been honored to step in during emergencies, providing critical relief when natural disasters or health crises upend lives.

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve helped nannies rebuild, recover, and return to the families who depend on them. Now, through our new Double the Care campaign, we’re inviting the entire nanny community—nannies, families, and agencies—to build something lasting: a system of care that doesn’t just respond to crisis, but prepares for it.

The Mission: Caring for the Caregivers

The Double the Care campaign turns compassion into sustainability.

  • Nannies commit to giving $1–$10 per month to support fellow caregivers in crisis

  • Employers match their nanny’s gift, doubling the impact

  • Agencies can join in to triple the care

🎯 Goal: 250 nanny/employer/agency partnerships generating $1,500–$15,000 in recurring monthly relief funding.
🎯 Enrollment target: 250 pairs by December 31, 2025.

This model creates a steady, predictable source of support, so when emergencies happen, funds are already there.

From Crisis Response to Sustainable Care

Over the years, our community has shown up again and again, raising thousands in days for hurricane relief, wildfire recovery, or nannies going through unimaginable life events. We are deeply grateful for that generosity.

But we don’t want to rely on panic fundraising every time tragedy strikes. We’ll always step up in moments of need, but we also want to plan ahead, build capacity, and ensure NRF is still here to help caregivers in 2030, 2040, and beyond.

Double the Care is how we make that vision real: a community-funded foundation for long-term stability and compassion.

How Can You Get Involved?

Every new partnership strengthens our ability to offer consistent, year-round relief for nannies in need, so help is always ready, long before the next crisis begins.

This is the next chapter in our NRF story: moving from short-term crisis response to long-term sustainability. Because the future of childcare depends on caring for the caregivers and continuing our 2020 goal to “Help the Helpers.”
